We’re looking for friendly, energetic, and reliable helpers to make this year’s celebration the best one yet. Whether you’re helping at the Rail Jam, the KidzFest Family Zone, or behind the scenes, your support helps bring the magic of winter to life for the entire community.

Volunteer Roles

We have a variety of positions to fit your interests and schedule, including:

Event Support – Help set up, welcome guests, and keep activities running smoothly.
Family Zone Crew – Assist with kids’ games, crafts, and fun winter activities.
Rail Jam Helpers – Support the action zone, coordinate crowds, and cheer on riders.
Info & Guest Services – Help visitors find their way and answer event questions.

No experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm and a warm smile!

Finish off the weekend by sitting back and watching a family-friendly movie at the Cleland Theatre. Snacks will be available for purchase by donation (details to come).

Defrost Gym Games

A chance to warm up and limber up! Bring the little ones to the Community Centre Gymnasium for activities, games, arts & crafts, and a chance to get in from the cold. No charge.

Frosty Toes Winter Dip Presented by KISU Swim Club & Skaha Physio

Take part as individual or join a group of friends to take a frosty dip in Okanagan Lake. With the watchful eye of PENSAR, brave souls will take a dip in the lake and then have the opportunity to go get warm at the Firefighter’s breakfast at the Barking Parrot.

Enjoy a warm pancake breakfast by donation, with proceeds going towards the Firefighter’s Charitable Society. All ages welcome.
